Rev. Chad spent his first 47 years living in Indiana and Louisville Kentucky. He joined us starting in July 2024. Growing up Presbyterian laid a foundation for his faith through the observance and the receiving of the love of those in the church. A love that he wants others to feel when they are present in the church he serves. Before entering the ministry, Rev Chad spent nearly 20 years working in sales, finance, marketing, and management working with companies such as Chase and his local government. It was through volunteering to work as a youth director when the church he attended lost its youth minister that began his journey into ministry. After spending nearly 12 years in youth ministry and associate ministry, he felt a call to move into senior ministry. It was at that time Rev Chad obtained his Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary and went on to be ordained in the Disciples of Christ Church. A fun fact, Rev Chad was ordained on April Fools Day, as a fun way to remember that God calls all sorts of people into ministry.
Rev Chad loves sports, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs, Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Hoosier Basketball, and Notre Dame football. He is an avid reader and loves to get recommendations for books. He has two adult sons, Hayden and Zach, is a cat Dad to a tuxedo cat named Harlow, and loves to relax at home to a good movie or show. Do you have a good restaurant recommendation? Rev Chad loves to eat and try new foods. He hopes that if you are looking for a place to make a connection to people, serve others in the community, start your faith journey, or continue in your faith journey, you stop by at FCCS where we want all to feel included, welcomed and affirmed no matter where they are or where they have been. It is all about where we are going and doing it together.
