Isidora Jovanovic: A native of Serbia, Isidora Jovanovic holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Novi Sad, Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Northwestern University, a Master of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from Arizona State University where she studied with the distinguished Brazilian pianist Caio Pagano.
In 1997, after being awarded 2nd Prize at the International Piano Competition Nikolai Rubinstein, Paris, Isidora began her pianistic career. Since then, she has performed in a variety of international venues including the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), Kolarac Hall in her native Belgrade, and La Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in Switzerland. In the United States, Isidora has performed in Chicago, South Florida (the 2014 TEDx conference in Boca Raton), and Austin. In Arizona, she has appeared as a soloist at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts and the Chandler Center for the Arts, accompanied by Chandler Symphony Orchestra.
During her Doctoral studies, Ms. Jovanovic held a Faculty Associate position at the Arizona State
University School of Music, where she taught group and individual piano lessons. Her over a decade-long teaching career also includes positions at Vojislav Vuckovic School of Music in Belgrade, the head piano instructor position for the Florida Atlantic University’s Teaching Outstanding Performers program, and a piano instructor position at Rosie’s House Music Academy for children in Phoenix.
During her studies in Florida, Isidora was the staff pianist at Sunshine Cathedral in Ft. Lauderdale. She is now excited to have found a new church community at her home state of Arizona.
Recently married, Isidora enjoys a family life with her husband Patrick and his two wonderful boys.
