Brad Bond has been singing in choirs since childhood—starting in his hometown Worland, Wyoming’s First Baptist Church. Later in life he performed with the semi-professional Park Avenue Christian Church in New York City, the English Reformed Church Choir in Amsterdam, and most recently First Christian Church Scottsdale, where he also sings in the praise team and functioned as vocal coach and substitute director prior to becoming the full-time interim director of music in 2021.
In addition to church music, Brad has a life-long history of singing in secular choirs from Highschool onward, including jazz choirs, folk choirs, and Wyoming’s All-State Choir. He studied vocal performance with Fred Gersten at the University of Wyoming, and has been a professional singer for decades, performing leading music theatre roles across the country. He holds a bachelors degree in Theatre and Dance from the University of Wyoming as well as a BA and an MA in Spanish. He combined those two passions as the composer lyricist for a translated musical adaptation of the medieval Spanish literary masterpiece CELESTINA that had a successful Off-Off Broadway run in 1999.
